Something popped into my head

Usually when I'm doing anything some song or the other pops into my head.And usually I can remember the song,or atleast most of it, and try to sing along.
But sometimes I remember only a few words and have to google to find the song.Or if I remember only the tune I should have to hope to chance upon it one fine day.
Thankfully today the song which came into my head was one whose tune and halfbaked lyrics I remembered.It goes something like this:

On further reflection, I remembered this song as the song which accompanied the series "Picket Fences" though I remember nothing more about the series.It ran when I was very young .Actually Im not even sure if this is the same song.Though the words kinda match.

(After a few minutes)

Being as jobless as I am I went through a lot of sites before I found that the version of the song I heard was by the Byrds.

Anyways I thought the song esp the lyrics was good.

aha...yell-mutt gets lyrics right for a change:P
yup...love 'turn turn turn'...have some 2 versions of it...the original by The Byrds and a lovely Joan Baez version...it was also there in the Forrest Gump soundtrack and all...didnt know about Picket Fences though....

Hey, I lost a week somewhere

C'est la vie

I was sitting in my home listening to CDs of my father's college reunion music, so basically the 70s. I was amazed. For the songs weren't obscure esoteric songs long forgotten by time. Nay. They were in fact the very songs I have been listening to these 4 years at IIT. Come Together (Beatles), Have You Ever Seen The Rain (CCR), Smoke Over Water (Deep Purple), Imagine (John Lennon), Annie's Song (John Denver) and other such wonderous songs. Again, and again.
